Can I borrow a feeling?

Sleeping is giving in..

I actually have forgotten my little weekly planner book so can't do anything official in sequencial order but there is a run down of totally random events which have transpired over the last 2 weeks. Primarily, Niklas came. We had a housewarming, things went well, he didn't bring much with him as likely one doesn't when going for a working holiday. Though after having a lot of time upon his arrival to think about his decisions he opted for Vancouver not being an ideal thing for him to do at this point. So, after one week to the day of his arrival he was off over to Seattle, then following on to Ohio and who knows where after. It was a shame that he decided that really though, after all I had gotten us a 2 bedroom and we were supposed to have such fun. I can understand however that a chilly winter when one could travel around South America as he likely will do for a few months is an ideal option. Though not totally sure what he was thinking a working holiday would be if not to work and live like the rest of us city folk. I do hope that he's happy with his decision though.

Thankfully my friend Dian was still needing somewhere to crash in Vancouver so I touched base with her, she said pretty much immediately is what she was looking for, so she's moving in for October 1st. Very stoked on that actually cos she's a pretty rad chick.

I also went ahead with the bed purchase and got myself a proper mattress, box spring and frame from sleep country. It will be delivered on October 3rd. My birthday gift to myself. I am excited to finally be off of that air mattress and will pass it along to Dian until she sorts something else out. I don't know how I've been on that for so long but this is totally worth it, especially since I'll be in Vancouver until I finish my piano at the earliest.

Otherwise things are quite well, working most days still. Had a fun house party, good amount of people turned out. Yesterday went out to Langley to see Paul and Coburn's band "Fallen Sun" at the Civic Centre. It was rad and metalesque. Some good riffage and Paul slappin' some bass. Joined the Co-operative Auto Network. Yesterday was the first useage but it was a good feeling to drive a car and such. I am still tempted to get one of my own. But I'll test out the co-op a while longer to see how viable it is, or how much I seem to be needing one.

I'd like a keyboard too, my room will be too crowded soon enough though! Joanne gave me a TV from her abode, that was very nice. It's heavy, but I'm gonna pop that bad boy in to my room I reckon. Maybe we'll do an ikea trip soon as well. Alternately, still hanging out with Dustin and Lee quite often as per usual to the enjoyment factors. Eveything is good, very busy and content, with a mini hiatus of confusion for a few days but then it all sorted itself out and I'm feeling good about everything right now. Can't wait til I'll have every weekend back to myself though, but a few more months of saving is in order before that. I have no more savings left until next payday then they can slowly start to commence again. But no vacations planned either so nothing super substancial to be saving for. Perhaps I'll save for a car, then not worry about a loan down the road, That'd also be smart.

Anyways, I'm off for now. To the Nines are giggin' tonight at Justin's abode/house party with 3 kegs. Should be an interesting evening as they all are. Once we drop the gear back off in Gastown then drop the car off and down the hatch!
