Quick Bit

Well, I have not posted in what appears to have been several months, and why would I as no one follows this at all, and then why would they, since I never update it. Vicious Circle it is.

Oh well. As of late, I have been almost non stop listening to Stand Up Comedy in the likes of Ricky Gervais Show featuring Karl Pilkington and Steve Merchant. This occupies a lot of time, especially when I'm doing data entry, makes the day go by a lot faster. No matter that I've already listened to all of the seasons a few times over. It still is fun and worthy of all the laughter it provides. Sometimes, though Ricky laughs a bit loud in to my earphones, that is my only complaint. But it's all understandable! Other comedians definitely worth listening to are Mitch Hedburg, Nick Swardson, Patton Oswalt, Mike Birbiglia, Bill Hicks, Dane Cook, Daniel Tosh, Dave Chappelle, David Cross, Demetri Martin and if you're in the mood Lenny Bruce. There's numerous others, especially since I'm lacking a lot of British Comedians, which I am about to start listening to a lot more of.

A TV Show I can't get enough of right now is the Jon Dore Show. Cos he is just comedic gold. Love it when people can stay so serious when they are super funny and not pull faces. Very impressive.

Tunes wise, well I don't know if I'll have time to get in to that right now. But I can give it a go. Been on a Mystery Jets kick for a while, as well as Ra Ra Riot, Brian Jonestown Massacre. Decided on getting a Joy Division tattoo, as I love a lot of what Ian Curtis had to say. Speaking of tattoos, which brings me on to a whole other topic in itself, Aaron, my tattoo artist, and one of my good friends who used to work at Bodycraft in Nottingham (where I got all my work done from him - but now he his all over the place) he is coming to Vancouver to stay with me for a week and a half, so I am going to stock up on tattoos, cos that's what I do when I see him. And he is also going to tattoo a whole bunch of my friends. Or around 10 or so of them. I'm very stoked on this, as I get cravings for tattoos often, he has called me an ink junkie, and i do not take harshly to that term as that is a good summation of me.

Aaron's work is absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend him to anyone wherever they might be: Ireland, England or Indiana,USA or even Vancouver, BC when he gets here in a few weeks time. Such a rad dude. Maybe I'll investigate if I can add images to this somehow when I get home and I can big him up through this medium which never gets read!

Back to tunes though, Abe Vigoda, Arctic Monkeys, Avenged Sevenfold, a bit of The Clash, and CocoRosie, always enjoy some Spank Rock, Eagles of Death Metal, Really hoping to get to listen to the new Hellset Orchestra soon - gonna have to special order that one from UK. Totally worth it though. New Interpol and Kings of Leon. Metronomy still loving. Noah and the Whale. Pete and the Pirates, can't get enough of that. The Pippettes. Not to mention, White Denim and We are Scientists.

That's basically a good bit of what's been on rotation as of late. Then in the evenings I just watch crap tv at home if I'm at home. Watched Walk Hard at my friend Dustin's on the weekend, while trying to infiltrate their world with British Comedy like Extras and Velvet Goldmine (very much not comedy but I love the Brian Slade songs on there, which reminds me I need to upload the soundtrack to my iPood. Other than this, not much else to mention!
