burnage, buddy
on monday i went out to ladner on the public transit to hang out with mike, i was already in ladner and he was yet to be awake even though i had called him earlier, that was pretty funny. but he skated over to meet me by the 711 and we went to his house, had some ice tea and chilled downstairs on the couch and listened to the jam on vinyl and then watched a fair amount of television until like 730 in the evening ...seinfeld, simpsons, sponge bob. a few s shows it would appear. even a blind date was in there, sigh. but it was funny cause there was an old dude, like 60 something east indian man who was creepily incinuating things about bathing this girl who was totally creeped out by him, then when mike dropped me off at the bus loop this creepy 45 year old east indian man hit on me for about 25 minutes and i didn't know what to say to get out of it, the last thing he said to me was "so, you're under 20?" and i was like "yup, i'm 18" and walked away.
severe back burnage at warped tour, partial face burnage as well. barfield is trying to bite my nose and chin. i don't understand this cat. i think it has problems of some sort, maybe.
i just got in from working 1-930 today...and i work 11-730 tomorrow. but then friday off! wohoo?
so, warped tour...woke up was in mediocre rush to get ready and be over at stephs by 11 and we were eventually off, after a lunch for her was made. the directions i found worked out after driving around in circles a bit trying to find a parking space that didn't cost 21$ for the day. we found a free one by the beanery and just hoped that the car wouldn't get towed. walked over past the gates through the same dude who didn't check our bags last year, not that we were smugling drugs or anything, just food. which is like a drug in itself. i saw quite a few people i knew and even some i'd only met once but still recognized their faces, i wonder if having met these people just once for a few hours if they recall my face when they see me. maybe i'm just observant though?
we stood right up close for ima robot at 130 and their set was awesome, i enjoyed it more this time than when i saw them last september, just because we were closer to the stage than the stage for white stripes. and the singer alex, he's pretty gorgeous. after their set i went over to their tent and they were there as well, and i informed the singer that there was a bee sitting in his hair...they got it out, i'm sure i'll hold a place in his heart!
we went up to watch my chemical romance who had really good stage presence until their mic cut out and they sung a song just at the very front of the crowd, that was rad but too bad we weren't really close enough to enjoy to its fullest potential.
then we went down to catch some of alkaline trio but they were basically over and we only heard them playing a cover of white wedding, wierd.
this is testing my memory.. shit. who came next? bouncing souls i believe and then gah. rise against was in there, i know i watched nofx and the vandals. they were my favorite part because warren is so very amusing and dave is quite a good man himself. plus, they ended off their set with don't stop me now by queen. how much better can you get. oh oh and they talked to the people in the stands because they were sitting and being bums. i was throuroughly amused. justin sane was, oh i watched anti flag! haha. he was standing behind me for like 10 mins, if i had something worthwhile to say, i would have said it but i don't like to talk to people when i've got nothing to say...he was also singing to new found glory who was playing, that i found a tad off.. oh well. i checked him out a lot hah. oh right i bought 6 sampler cds that cost me a whopping 8$ for all of them. it was nice. and i got a when hope fails, take action shirt. glad i brought a side bag to carry along. but, come to think of it, when don't i?
i'm kinda happy, still semi depressed, only when i hear songs like "i want you to want me" like i did on the car ride home last night, that was kinda bummery. but it's a come and go phase. not as bad as before so i guess that's good. meh.
