Now wasn't that splendid. I haven't written a thing for a month, take a few days, and the last day that i wrote was the day i got my tattoo. oh the tattoo. it's still being enjoyed hah, i should fucking hope so. Also, I've had many an adventure in Ontario. Me and Steph left on the 15th of April, got to stay with my sister and her bofyriend for a while. they easily got annoying, so did not having a key to be able to get in and out. The first night, we attempted to go and see Joel Plaskett, but the show was sold out, I don't know why it was surprising, but I didn't even give that an option. At least we did get to SEE Joel though, he informed us that the guest list was already full with about 75 people on it and he couldn't add us. Hey, we saw the Joel though, and he looked obviously studly. We went and saw Triplets of Bellevill instead, I thought it was marginal and kind of wierd, it was alright but i don't think i'd see it again. Since we didn't know all of where we were we did a lot of walking in the wrong direction and too much walking, to malls and took random pictures and after just a while we parted ways and I went to Kingston for 3 days, had my first motel experience. In addition to A LOT of walking with my Arcteryx bag on almost all the time. But it was a really nice few days there, the town was nice. I became addicted to Fruit Explosion muffins from Tim Hortons, throughout the whole trip. Those things rule. We also went to Ajax for a day to meet my friend James, and hung out with him and 2 of his friends at a park, smoked a spliff. I came back from Kingston the evening of the thursday and walked around town until 1230 (the train got in at 1030) because Dan, sis's boyfriend, didn't get home from work until then and i had no way in. that got really fucking annoying. the next morning i went and found steph at the train station becuase she came back from london (ont.) and we had huge cinnimon buns from cinnibon. haha. and dropped our bags off and we then proceeded to find Convocation Hall which is a part of the insanely large University of Toronto. This is where Damien Rice was playing. The Frames were the opening band, they were Irish. Pretty good as well. Damien and Lisa and company were so awesome, it was very experimental with lights and sound volume and they did this thing with when they do the nina simone cover of be my husband damien got down on the ground with his acoustic guitar and used it as a drum for the song. It was awesome, i just felt the whole performance throughout my body. I wrote out the setlist too:
1. Delicate
2. All Dressed Up For You
3.Volcanos
4. something lisa sang, don't know what it was called. about leaving it as it stands.
5. aimee
6.woman like a man
7.older chests
8. canon
9. be my husband
10. the professor
11. cheers darlin'

encore...

2. cold water
3. eskimo
4. blower's daughter.
there we have it.
somewhere in the last few days we stayed at my sisters bachelor apartment (no bedrooms) her boyfriend bought surround sound for the tv. this made me and steph want to leave a lot more. so luckily i phone my moms friend who just invited us for dinner and then i asked if it would be completely rude to ask if we could stay with her for a night and she said we could stay the rest of our trip (4 days, 3 nights) ...they live in a 1.1 million dollar new house. we had the whole basement to ourselves it was AMAZING. the day before we left we took the train out to Niagara Falls. That was much different that I had expected, unfortunatly this ride called the maid of the mist, that takes you right under the falls was closed for the season so we just got to look and take some pictures then we went to the most killerest haunted house of dracula. it was awesome, i was talkign to the guy who was trying to scare us in this pitch black room that continued for a good ten minutes and you couldn't see a damn thing except the odd scene of death in the side window. and the dude freaked S. out big time. he kept on tapping her and just her so that i would think she was an idiot when she said she was being tapped. i asked him how much he got paid but he didn't answer. then we didn't know how to get out so i was like ' hey man, how do we get out of here? hello!' and he responded "straight, straight STRAIGHT!" in a creppy voice. "Geniuses!" haha. it was golden. she was freaked out so much, and basically ran right out when we found the exit. if you ever go though, and thing that the musician rock and roll wax museum is rad, i can tell you it definatly is NOT!
we watched so many movies when we were there. went and saw eternal sunshine of the spotless mind too. it was pretty sad in parts, but i thought jim carey did a pretty good job at the seriousness. i always liked him the truman show as well. we never really saw anyone from much music except george driving away as we walked by. oh well. all in all it was a good trip and i spent a decent amount of money and still luckily have a fair amount left for london with glen, then who knows what's happening, but i'm only 18 no worries! hopefully i get a job at the video store, that would KICK ASS. oh my god i'd maybe think about thinking about starting to believe in god. nah. probably not. but i'd have faith in something. yaa.
