take me to portugal, take me to spain.
I'm going to put the lights on the christmas tree right now. but I will return... with many a nothing to say. oh boy!
Then the decorations come, not quite as interesting as i recall. I guess it comes with age or something, but even for that once a year the excitement to put the beautiful, and handcrafted decorations that i made at a young age up on the tree. The most special one, I find, is babys first christmas, so i'm going to go put that up. Oh, Christmas.
I went to the Winter Festival 2003 for the Montessori School last night, and it was outstanding. So adorable, watching all the little excited kids go up on stage and sing or just move their mouthes as though they knew the words to the songs. Some were just feeling the music, dancing or over exaggerating their facial expressions while they were up on the stage. They would walk up there and wave at their parents when they saw them and were just soo excited. It was magnificent. I can't wait until I get to have child, I say, that's five years old. I don't know if that made mumsy awkward, but it will happen.. some day in the not TOO far away future. But still quite far away future.
Tonight was a night of relaxation, Manika wanted to go to Coquitlem, but there was no interest level in it for me. Sometimes the stay at home and chill out mood is just what I feel is necessary. Even though I don't work tomorrow until 2, my day is spoiled by it because I have a split shift then go back until 11. Saturday=gone.
One of the best feelings, aside from chocolate [ ha! ] is getting a new CD and listening to it so much because you totally feel it. That's how I'm feeling towards this cd by the shins that I got, Chutes too Narrow. So fuckin' good. Obviously I'll post lyrics to it because I have to and it's almost like a rule.
My compski is deciding to constantly disconnect me from the internet because the cord coming from the wall is a little bent and this is making it unhappy. Glen sent me a copy of Catching up with Depeche Mode today. I have to watch out for tracks 1, 3 and 5 as it is the best music gets.
Too bad Langley sucks, cause I would have liked to hang out with Ashley and Tristan tonight, unfortunatly we can never find anywhere else to go besides EA, and that gets a little repetetive, and non cheap. Plus, I have to buy cookies there.. shit, eh. We might go up to Squampton [aka Squamish] in the new year. I have no plans for new years eve and I really don't care either. I'd like to go up to Calgary, however that's quite unlikely. But fuck parties (did you notice that one? ha.) I'm tierd of doing the same thing, going to parties and not having fun and just wanting to leave, so i'm going to say fuck them entierly for as long as I remain in BC. On the road trip I'm planning on getting saucy, and steph is planning on getting me saucy. So, looks like I'll have to. That's alright with me though. Hopefully I'm not really allergic to alcohol, that would eat a dick up. I guess I'd have to.. do heroin. Ha! I dont know, heroin is something I'm saving for my death bed, I think. Even though I think I have quite a strong will power, I'm sure its not something most junkies plan on, "uuh, yeah. I have a pretty addictive personality, so I think i'll snort some eccentric cocaine all up in there" that can't be how it is. Maybe a few people, but not every coke head.
Last night Sean (in Nova Scotia) stayed up until 6 am, where as I stayed up until 2 (even though I had work this morning) talking about random long messages combined with short ones to spice things up, or something. I don't know how people can do that. I mean, I could if I really desired to I'm sure, and wait.. i probably would if i had nothign to wake up for the next morning/afternoon. so what's my point then? that was really fucking late. props on that one.
OH my god, I got the best christmas present ever. I paid for part of it, that's how much I wanted it. Oh was it ever soo exciting. 3CD changer with Turntable and Remote. I saw it and it was one of those things.. you see and you must have. That night, in london drugs I was like a fat kid in a candy store. School of Rock is at the cheap theater. I'm going to see it again on sunday then. man, that movie was sweet.
and here are some lyrics (2 different songs actually) to read and love .. love, what a concept.
A cold and wet November dawn and there are no barking sparrows just emptiness to dwell upon. I fell into a winter slide and ended up the kind of kis who goes down chutes too narros just eking out my measly pies but I learned fast ahow to keep my head up cause I know I've got this side of me that wants to grab the yoke from the pilot and fly the whole mess into the sea another slow train to the coast some brand new gory arrt from way on high. I sing and then I swim all night. I watch the ice melt on the glass while the eloquent young pilgrims pass and leave behind their trail imploring us on not to falil of course I was raised to gather courage from those lofty tales so tried and true and if you're able I'd suggest it cause this modern thought can get the best of you. This rather simple epitaph can save your hid your falling mind fate isn't what we're up against there's no design no flaws to find.
Just last night I woke from some unconscionable dream and had it nailed to my forehead again to keep this boat afloat there are things you can't afford to know so i save all my breath for the sails but you'll find those lingering voices are just your ego's attempt to make it all clean and nice and make a moron out of you walking a bridge with weakening cables huddled up in fear and hate because we know our fate and it's a lot to put us through most ideas turn to dust as there are few in which we all can trust haven't you noticed i've been shedding all of mine? so let's abandon that track and leave our fathers fighting in a sack cause we are way to wise-assed for that you might find some fools at your doorstep hustling the latest changes to the book that's the strangest in an attempt to multiply marionettes on weakening cables huddled up with fear and hate because they know their fate and it's a lot to put them through we've taken on a climb and it's long enough to put the best of us on our backs walking up a slide and there are those we know who'd have us five miles off the track.
