I didn't get much tune listening in today because I was at work for 8 hours, there we atleast don't have to listen to utter shit, actually some pretty decent songs came on today. I recall hearing Friday I'm in love and the love cats. both excellent songs. That's all that I do recall though. The morning while getting ready I chose to listen to Thrush Hermit-The Great Pacific Ocean EP. And yeah, at work until 6 30 and then I had to get gas, pick up Bronnie at EA where I ran into Karlene, Danielle AND Becaa. Oh I miss hanging out with Becaa like we did almost every day in the summer time. She's so radical.
Right, so i got bronwen and then we headed out to West Van, for the Hollyburn Country Club. We were going there because Harris invited me to this battle of the bands thing that his band, Square 9, was playing in. Which they evidentaly won, rightfully so. Not that some of the others didn't have talent at all, just square 9 definatly had good energy, well written songs even though there wasn't a lot of practice time. But the blues/orange/purple...song was definatly classic. and he made it up right on the spot, just like that! Hmm, sometimes the keyboard amp was FAR too loud, but it all worked out. Harris has really good stage presence and there was this moment when Isis, his girlfriend, was fixing the mic for him cause it kept falling and she sat down next to him looking up in the light and I took a picture cause it was just too beautiful it had to be captured. Then they all switched instruments and that was interesting, It was awesome, I had a really good time. Minus the headache for a while. So yeah.
Bah I have to wake up in like 9 hours cause of working 11-7. blasphemy! Holy so much working, which just means more tax comes off my cheque. fuck i have to get my ticket still, tomrorow. man i dont wnt to wake up earlier than i have to but i want the ticket and the show is coming up shortly. I don't think i'm goign to go to hat hat heat this time. I'd rather buy 2 older cd's i think. Yeah, I do. But atleast I got the day off for my feet to recouperate! I'm really bad at spacing things out.
Vancouver driving in the rain isn't fun. There was a car rolled over in the ditch just off hiway 1 going west. Thats shite. For them anyways. Friday is an interesting night. Just as we were departing the western part i looked over the bridge and it was so nice looking, all the lights that were glowing and shining throughout the town, it was very picturesque. Ok. I think it's now time for sleep. Man, how do I not even have time to listen to music with working so much, there's gotta be something wrong with that logic. I dont know where I want to go to school next year? Am I going next year, I think maybe I should. Atleast I think that I know what 'field' I want to go into. So that's a start.
