The Elongated Day Off...
Woah, I changed something. And now things are a little bit different on this page but not exactly how I want them. Maybe I'll figure it out in time. But for todays day off it was full of activity! The first day in I dont even know how many on days I've had. But I certainly am working an absofuckinlutly lot.I calculated my shifts for this past week and it totaled at 38.5 hours that's an horu and ahalf off of FULL TIME! That's too much. Well, not that I'm complaining as though the money will be a disappointment, solely the tax taken off will be.
I woke up at about 12:30 but didn't get to bed very early because I did that huge ass quiz thingy which took more time than I had expected, I don't know why I would have expected it to take like 10 minutes or something, anyways. So yeah, I woke up gave Steph a call and a litle after that - mix cd with good riddance etc on- I was on my way out the door, with the directions that I had to print off but its just fine with me. Mapquest can be very helpful all over the ...north america. I bet I got that to work! That site gets me everywhere I want to be. We hit the road towards Vancouver nearing 2 pm. I had put on Nirvana-Insesticide. The traffic was not so bad and we arrived at Zulu Records in about an hours time. That place is like heaven, we spent so much time in the used cd part up the spiral staircase. I could have easily spent hundreds but I limited myself to solely 42. something. That record store has it all, I'd like my record store to be just like that one...wow.
We left after using the alotted 31 minutes that we could afford on the parking meter was well expired and headed to PDS Hot Shop. The dude working had a sign up that said be back in 15. well how do we know when that 15 starts and ends! But luckily he was back in about that time. They didn't take interact though so we had to go to the nearest corner store in the rain and got out her cash and then she purchased the Skull Skates one with the skull and that on it. Well spent cash. We headed home, but as we well know, in rush hour traffic and not knowing where you are going can be troublesome, so it took a while longer to get home. -Roxy music (steph was unimpressed except for 2 songs on it...)The Organ-Sinking Hearts_and_Yeah Yeah Yeahs-Fever to tell- We stopped at AandB on the way back and I bought 2 more CD's. I got 7 CD's for about 75$ today so I think I did well with my money.
Once we were back into Langley we went to IHOP for dinner cause it would be a change from going to BP which we usually do. We were tempted for the pancakes but the substitution would be too bothersome so we just stuck to 'dinneresque' foods. My gardenburger was aight. and stephs mashed potatos and chicken didn't suffice. So then we just put ketchup and syrup and salt in our odd flavored iced tea for fun. Back to my house and right up on to the computer, I was on for a few minutes and we switched off and on until like 1 in the morning but had a good time talking to all sorts of people. Fun for real. We got to listen to A LOT during the course of this evening. Descendents-Somery, Joy Division-Substance, The Cure-Pornography, T Rex- Bolans Zip Gun, Shudder to think-Got the Goat, Redd Kross-Phaseshifter and now I'm listening to The Cure-Paris. I wonder if there is a band called the cute. I bet that there is somewhere. I am quite tierd but whatever, you only live once.
We (Kayley, myself and Leanne) are doing a piano recital for our students on the 10th of December. That should be interesting, I hope my stage fright thingy doesn't make me do shittily, cause that'd be no good. It's a good experience though, if I ever want to go anywhere with pianer then like, it's a must do sort of thing. Maybe that's kinda why I dont want to pursue it as much, subconscioiusly, oh shit. I hope i'm not on to something there. That'd be a shame!
A tip for today would have to be that times of boredom lead to interesting things.
