Ok, I have a mondo headache but I'm just waiting for my room to heat up before I head off for sleep, but I'm kinda skeptical on the idea because I just watched part of Nightmare on Elm Street.. the thoughts of that movie don't make sleep look so promising, no thanks to one Freddy. Anyways, I thought I'd write how stoked I was on my purchase of 14 records today:
cheech and chongs wedding album
alice cooper-lace and whiskey
queen-a night at the opera
BOC-extraterrestrial , agents of fortune, fire of unknown origin, some enchanted evening
simon and garfunkel-bookends
tears for fears-mothers talk
stray cats-built for speed
prism-small change-see forever eyes
the police-zenyatta mondatta, ghost in the machine
Rung me in at a total of 14$ I totally thought they were going to cost much much more each but then the dude said 1$ each and fuck, was that ever a wonderful experience...yes,yes it was.
I also got some rad casettes from Value Village today...
Nirvana-Smells like teen spirit casette single
The police-Ghost in the machine (and record, wooo)
AC/DC-Who made Who
Pink Floyd-The Wall (copy number 2)
Roxy music-the high road
Classic Queen
Casettes and Records are an untapped gem...but becoming more tapped these days..just records though.
Shit, and when I was with Danielle and we went down to the thrift stores after I bought the product, she said to me "We are going to have an awesome record collection" uuh, exsqueeze me...baking powder? WE ..no no rather I, Breanne, will have the rad collection. Shit, if I knew everyone who came shopping with me had some rights to the things I bought then I'd never go with anyone except myself. Not to sound greedy or anything, even maybe I am in a sense, but music.. that's personal. Me and Steph went to Fright Night at Playland tonight, it was pretty radicool. We made 3 new friends for about a minute then quickly left. We went on the Corkscrew one time then saw this dude with the Skull skates hoodie steph wants. and then onto the old coaster which was super so fun. and then in 2 haunted houses (marginally frightful, I could see how it would be to like young kids but i just smiled and walked through the dark. The funniest thing was the guy in the black room with polka dots that matched the walls walking around and saying "Come here!" and this other dude with a chainsaw that said "NEVER!" I really didnt understand so I laughed. Good times. Old Coaster one more time didnt buy the pic cause it's 10 dollars but fuck it was awesomeness. I gave a thumbs up on the way down the hill and steph was mid-kiss face it was hilarious. Ok I think the room is heated. We listened to The Mars Volta again on the way to Van and I listened to Thrush Hermit-Clayton park on the way to teaching piano lesson and various Strokes songs because I havent gotten the CD yet. GOodnight.
